For inexplicable reasons, the guys from Cupertino forgot to protect their smartwatch against theft, after release of Apple Watch. Unlike iPhone or iPad, Apple Watch was not equipped with Activation Lock function which prevents using the device by other person in case of theft or loss. But updated watchOS 2 coped with it.

Apple Watch is now protected against theft

Now the watch has enabled Activation Lock by default. Therefore, now intruders cannot just connet the watch too the own iPhone.

In case of unexpected situations, Apple Watch can be marked as lost in iPhone app. The same can be made with iPhone or iPad on iCloud site, in “Find iPhone” section.

Thanks to the new update, you can be sure that no one will be able to use your smartwatch easily.
